Company profile www.csai.it

Founded in 1977 as the first "Stainless steel Service Centre" in Italy, C.S.A.I. has grown up during years learning new cut technologies and broadening the range of the available stainless steels.

The versatility and the cutting installations owned by C.S.A.I. allow them to obtain circular cuts ranging from 50 mm to 3000 mm in diameter within a range of different types of thickness starting from 0,4 up to 150 mm.

Time for choosing
The management wanted to hold down the costs related to supply of the nitrogen necessary to laser-cutting machines.
Then the willing to obtain a logistic and operative independence from gas suppliers bore on the decision to evaluate alternative solutions.

The choice is Claind!

During the years the management tried several supplyings: at first cylinder racks, liquid nitrogen, a cryogenic pump and then back to the cylinder racks, with more technical gas suppliers in competition among them.
After that, the choice for a nitrogen generator, able to assist the stainless steel cutting middle thickness.

The choice has been for Claind and LASER CUT 225-1, that, in addition to turn out itself as the most reliable technically and the most interesting in an economic sense, could be also installed outside, allowing also any further enlargement in terms of capacity and storage.

The LASER CUT 225-1 configuration met C.S.A.I. needs to have the nitrogen always available at the nozzle at least at 30 bar, considering also load leaks, even if the supplying line for air and nitrogen were really long.

Discovered benefits
• money savings related to previous kinds of supplying
• better operating/logistic easiness
• excellent quality of cutting
• more respect for the environment: the self-production avoids the supplying of nitrogen with trucks ensuring a low environmental impact
• correct sizing of the plant according to nitrogen needs, even if for changed requirements of production the customer is evaluating an enlargement of the plant (for storage and capacity)
