Founded 82 years ago as a custom metal fabricator, Braghini Gottardo has become a medium-heavy carpentry on behalf of a third party.
Time for choosing
In 2006 Laura Pellò, the manager of the company, very close to invest in new tecnhologies useful to improve on capacity, decided to add an Amada LC 3015 X1,a state-of-the-art machine with the beam guide inside, to the another Amada already present in the company.
Needs/requirements:
The needs to feed up both laser-cutting machines let be unsuitable the supplying of nitrogen at that moment in use: the cylinder racks.
Therefore, because of behalf of a third party, it became really important to rely on the availability of nitrogen to start with productions, even if small, for last minute requests from customers.
Screened solutions:
Cylinder racks (old solution used) -> rejected at once
- too onerous, in terms of operational and logistics costs
- too many leaks: 20-25% of the "paid for" gas back to the supplier in so called "empty bottles"
- delays in the deliveries (a not focused logistics by the gas supplier)
SELF-PRODUCTION OF NITROGEN-> CLAIND » the winning solution!
The needs to find a flexible solution to satisfy also the last minute requests let Braghini management persuade to self-generate nitrogen. Claind was selected among gas generators manufacturers, thanks to its sales and technical people, able to evaluate also the best sizing to supply both the machines.
The solution chosen was the LASER CUT 225-2: only one generator to feed up two laser-cutting machines, of which one needs also a low pressure configuration for the beam guide.
